Inventory of green areas! Sebastian Galarza Garcia

Hello, my name is Sebastián Galarza García, I am a member of the organization Inventory of green areas! The is based on providing environmental services for society and wildlife in order to know, protect and preserve these areas, as well as to propose to the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing and the mayors, according to their competence, the increase of said areas. 

The mayoralties will take the inventory of green areas of their competence in their territorial demarcation, in the terms established in the previous paragraph and they will make it known to the Secretariat for its integration into the general inventory referred to in this article, I personally feel very proud and happy to be part of this project, since it is something that is of the utmost importance, to protect the environment and carry it out properly, the project to which I belong has as its established objective, to maintain the Inventory of Green Areas. of Mexico City updated, in order to know, protect and preserve these areas. Disseminate said information for the benefit of society and establish a parameter of the conditions of the area.

Here are 5 recommendations to correctly carry out our objective:

Environmental Education: You should create educational campaigns to inform society about the importance of green areas, their role in the urban ecosystem and the benefits they provide for health and well-being. it is essential to increase public awareness of the value of green areas and the ecosystem services they provide.

Citizen Participation: You should involve society in the identification and monitoring of green areas, forthis you can organize community participation events, such as cleaning days and tree planting, where local people can contribute directly to the conservation of these areas. The active participation of the local society is of the utmost importance since it creates a sense of ownership and connection with the green areas.

Incentives for Conservation: You should offer incentives to private owners and local communities to conserve and protect green areas is essential. This can include tax breaks, subsidies, simplified permits for conservation activities, and public recognition.

Surveillance and Compliance: You should establish a system of surveillance and enforcement of the care of green areas helps prevent illegal or destructive activities in green areas, such as illegal logging, poaching or pollution. This guarantees the integrity of ecosystems and the maintenance of their value. You must not support and you must be against everything bad for the environment.

Online Platform: You should implement an interactive online platform where people can easily access information about green areas in the city. This platform could display maps, photos, data on the biodiversity present, updates on related projects, and even allow users to report problems or observed changes, to make progress much faster and more effective.
